Schiedam is no ordinary city, it is historically known as the 'Jenever' City. Jenever is a traditional juniper-flavored spirit. Our identity is deeply rooted in the art of distillation, a foundational process of transformation, precision, and the search for absolute clarity. For centuries, Schiedam’s iconic windmills ground the grain that fueled the juniper stills. Schiedam has always been a place of craftsmanship and innovation.
